Commodity reagents are often bought on trust: a supplier’s certificate, a familiar listing, a price. We started TrueBac to offer the opposite: a product whose quality you can check for yourself, lot by lot, without asking us.
How we are set up
Our bacteriostatic water is manufactured under contract in China. Finished lots are shipped to our warehouse in the United States, where they are held in quarantine and sampled for independent testing by an accredited U.S. laboratory. Lots that conform are released; every report is published.
We are direct about where the product is made because we think it should be judged on its data, not its origin. The testing is what we stand behind.
Who we sell to
Laboratories, research organizations, teaching programs and independent researchers who need a preserved diluent for in-vitro work. Our products are not for human or veterinary use, and we decline orders that indicate otherwise.

Independent release
No lot is sold on the manufacturer’s certificate alone. Release requires a conforming report from an independent U.S. laboratory.
Full disclosure
Every report is published, including for lots we reject, with a cryptographic fingerprint so copies can be verified.
Traceability
Every vial is traceable to its lot and every lot to the orders it filled. Recalls reach every affected customer.
